Grounding into February’s Full Moon in Virgo

Celestial bodies continue to encourage us to evolve with more shifts this month…

Chiron moves into Aries on Monday the 18th, at 2:10 am MST, calling forth our courage. Surrendering our wounds while Chiron was in Pisces allows for our inspired expression now.

The Sun slips from Aquarius to Pisces that same afternoon at 4:04 pm MST. Pisces holds artistry, unity, and mastery in a chamber of mystery. Tapping into our dreamscapes enriches our journey on both sides of the veil. The capacity for healing to occur in our dreams
is heightened now, and great power can be found when we intentionally engage it.

Meanwhile, the Moon waxes toward fullness and will rise at 8:53 am MST on Tuesday, February 19th, at zero degrees of Virgo. It forms an inconjunction to Chiron at zero degrees Aries, and invites us to heal old, lingering wounds around self-confidence. It trines both Uranus at 29° Aries and Mars at 3° Taurus, connecting 2 elements of earth and fire, and 3 modes of operation: mutable Virgo, cardinal Aries, and fixed Taurus.

Grounding into Earth is important now. Virgo’s Full Moon shines a light on what works and what does not. It loves efficiency, order, logic, process, and routine. It rules the areas of our lives that are conscious, earthly, and health-oriented. While Pisces, whose sunlight it reflects now, loves poetry, flow, intuition, being, and mystery. It rules the areas of our lives that are unconscious, artistic, and spiritual.

By bringing Spirit down to Earth through our thoughts, words, and actions everyday, we demonstrate the powerful perfection of the Pisces/Virgo energies. February’s Full Moon in Virgo spotlights the dreams that we’re manifesting. Do we like what we’ve created enough to celebrate it? Do we move through our days consciously? Gratefully? Gracefully?

A recent winter retreat found me basking in the bits of sunshine splashed on these sacred mountains where the Ute Indians once dwelled in peace. Walking by the flowing river by day, soaking in the healing mineral springs by night, seeing eagles, coyotes, a flock of bluebirds, families of deer, and more crows than I could count, I was reminded how easy healing is
when I’m present, and how generous the natural world is with its gifts of beauty and grace.

One of my walks led me to a medicine wheel where a prayer cairn holds a magnificent bronze eagle that was dedicated to Dennis Weaver upon his transition to the Great Mystery. People who visit this memorial park are invited to place prayer cairns upon and around the wheel. Serenity enveloped me as I entered the space, and like the eagle, my intentions rode a thermal wave of energy skyward. It’s a quiet place of power, this park, where humans and nature coexist peacefully in harmony and hope. February’s Full Moon in Virgo will find me celebrating this state of grace ~ where our co-creation reflects the mystery and the mastery of life perfectly.

Blessings, Always, For All Relations ~

Happy New Moon in Aquarius ~ the #whatelseispossible Moon!

There is an exact sextile between Neptune at 15º Pisces and Saturn at 15º Capricorn, and today’s New Moon, on February 4th, 2019 at 2:03 pm MST, is positioned precisely in between them at 15º Aquarius. This forms two semisextiles – one that is waxing to Neptune and one that is waning to Saturn.

Neptune and Saturn represent completely different energy patterns, bringing what is ideal (Neptune/Pisces) and what is realistic (Saturn/Capricorn) into our field of awareness. Sextiles are generally cooperative, giving us a boost of momentum to move forward.

With the semisextiles in place, this New Moon’s cycle is inviting us not only to examine what we’re willing to do, and choose which way we’re going to go, but also to assess our progress (or lack thereof) from the past.

Have we released enough of what needs to go in order to manifest our dreams and co-create what is possible for our collective highest good, or do we have more cleaning up to do?

Are we ready to forgive the past, each other, and ourselves for what was and what is?

Do we trust ourselves and each other to give structure to what our imaginations are showing us so that we can build new ground to stand upon together?

While we consider these questions, we may well notice a strong pull to stay entrenched in the status quo – or, at the very least, we may sense mounting tensions as we attempt to break free.

Capricorn shows us the limits of our current evolutionary level of maturity, while Aquarius takes us into the future – the realm of unlimited possibilities. Saturn is moving closer to Pluto in Capricorn, while Uranus and Mars are joining forces in the end degree of Aries. Uranus is the ruling planet of Aquarius that shakes us out of Saturn’s ruts, and Mars is the ruling planet of Aries that drives us to reach out and express our desires. Aries is all about survival – of self, species, and life. It shows us a new beginning – with Uranus and Mars there, we’re given the gift of aligning with a brighter tomorrow.

Meanwhile, a challenging square from both Uranus and Mars in Aries to Pluto in Capricorn calls us to make sure that loose ends are cleaned up and transformed. Pluto always initiates changes for the higher, collective good – it’s less concerned with ego-driven personal power struggles. We can only change what we’re willing to look at and own.

At the same time, another square from Neptune in Pisces to Jupiter in Sagittarius reminds us to see things from a higher, idealistic view, but warns against overreaching. Fortunately, a trine takes us from Uranus and Mars to Venus in Capricorn, where a more mature expression of love awaits.

With the fiery Aries energy squaring earthy Capricorn, and the old/new, real/ideal, push/pull energy patterns in play, the more time we take to mindfully assess and restructure our beliefs, patterns, values, and behaviors, the better off we’ll be – both personally and collectively. As this month’s New Moon emerges, the question really comes down to this:

How much better can we be?

Welcome February ~ inhale love, exhale joy, repeat…

Feeling feisty as February begins? You’re likely not alone, as the month kicks off with some fairly provocative energies – football reference not intended, but hey, if it fits…
We’ll do well to watch out for impulsivity, impatience, and knee-jerk reactions with strong Mars energies activating in Aries, and quickly approaching Uranus there.

When we’re not counting to ten and taking deep breaths, we can tap into the creative fiery trine between Uranus and Mars in Aries and Venus in Sagittarius in the first few days of the month.

Jupiter will join the fiery flow soon enough just after the New Moon on the 4th, so engaging in something creative and fun that feeds our spirits – while not overdoing it – brings expansion.

More to come on the New Moon at 15° Aquarius on February 4th soon! For now, here’s to taking a collective deep breath of higher love, and exhaling joy.

2019 ~ Flowing with the Current of Grace ~

2019 greets us with two potent eclipses to make sure we’re on track right out of the gate.

Meanwhile Mars, our favorite red planet of action, finds its home in fiery Aries on January 1st, and remains in there all month. We can get inspired to reach out for what we truly desire – especially in the area of self-expression and fulfillment. Using this energy will be important so that frustration and/or anger doesn’t build up.

The New Moon on the 5th ushers in the first eclipse of the year – a partial solar eclipse at 15° Capricorn. At the center of Capricorn, the power and wisdom of owning the consequences of our choices waits for our recognition. Choosing our commitments with care and showing up for what matters brings great rewards.

The Full Moon on the 20th inspires us with a total lunar eclipse at 00° Leo. Planetary energies are most potent at the early and end degrees, and this Full Moon should prove it.
As the Moon grows full and is eclipsed, we’ll do well to shine our light as the Sun does, simply because it must. In doing so, it enlivens and warms all that it touches. Leo has much to do with the will. When we engage our will for the good of the whole, we embody the best of Leo and Aquarius and align with the quintessential power of Light.

Light-bearers, all, this is our time to shine.

A square from expansive Jupiter in Sagittarius to dreamy Neptune in Pisces is activated all month long. Being aware of higher truths that help us grow will ease potential tension, while tuning into and trusting our dreams and intuition helps us release limitation and know freedom. The mutability of these signs say: “Be flexible.” “Compromise.” “Let go.”

Update on 1/4/19 ~ during the Balsamic phase of the moon…

In this dark, balsamic phase of the moon, just before it emerges new tomorrow at 15 degrees Capricorn…just before we experience a partial solar eclipse embraced by Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn, just before Uranus shifts into direct motion in Aries, what is asking to be released?

What is outworn in our thinking and our ways of living in the world that we’ve co-created? What are we better than? January holds two potent eclipses for fresh starts – tomorrow’s and a total lunar eclipse on January 20th.

How will we hold and dance with the light? Firemancers all, may we do it mindfully, with great care, and with our hearts leading the way ~

With blessings of light and a refreshing air of optimism,
may we flow with the current of grace, always,
~ Christina

Where Power and Love Unite ~ Full Moon in Taurus 2018

The moon waxes full on Wednesday, October 24th, 2018 at 10:45 am MDT. At one degree Taurus, the Moon joins Retrograde (Rx) Uranus and opposes the Sun and Rx Venus in Scorpio. Their opposition forms a Fixed Cross with the lunar nodes in Leo and Aquarius.

This cosmic event spotlights what we love and value and urges us to look deeper
at how we attract and express it.

It also brings up the question:

Does what we’re attracting sustain our collective tomorrow?

Uranus is a transpersonal planet with an innovative energy signature from the future; it’s concerned with the collective. In grounded, earthy Taurus, it asks much more of us. No longer content to settle for old, stagnant ways of living, we must stretch into new territory and build what is viable for the future.  Think of making updates that benefit the majority.

Changes can come in sudden flashes of insight or in the form of unexpected disruptions.
When Uranus goes retrograde, we’re given the chance to see our reality from a wider perspective. If we’re willing, we can drop into the space between worlds and find ways to embrace changes that benefit the whole of humanity.

Change is inevitable. Our best option is to let go of what is archaic
and no longer serves our evolution, and then to allow the future
to unfold
and grace our lives.

Venus is a very personal planet that helps us draw that which we love to us. When retrograde, we are invited to explore and know real love. The kind that lives deep in our hearts and exists beyond the constructs of love that we were taught to believe. If we’re open enough, this period offers a window through which we can begin to see ourselves with absolute love.

The journey to the center is called for in any opposition, and this Full Moon is no exception. We are aiming for the balance of love and power – with a spark of inspiration and help from – and for – our future.

When we take stock of what we love and value and are willing to inspire and implement the changes that we’re shown, we’ll know the infinite, omnipotent, and true nature of love.

We may notice emotional swings and/or a sense of restlessness with this Moon’s energies, especially if there are fixed patterns or habits that we’re working on transforming. Fixed crosses compel us to find ways to release pent-up, stuck emotions. Cultivating a keen sense of self-awareness and expressing ourselves in creative ways can help us move through challenges.

If we can tap into and embrace what our hearts know, we will serve not only ourselves, but others as well, and we’ll flow with the powerful currents of Scorpio and Taurus. Otherwise, we can be tossed about in what feels like a storm.

In the space in-between worlds, in the space in-between ourselves and our fellow sentient beings, in the space in-between breaths and moments, the highest truth of love, in all of its resplendent power and light, waits for our embrace.

A few questions to ponder in the space in-between…under the light of the moon, perhaps.

  • Are we nurturing beauty and love? Are we open to receiving the same?
  • Are we letting go of what is out of alignment with our sense of peace?
  • Does what we’re attracting and/or creating sustain our inner sense of well-being?
  • Does what we’re drawing to us create a better, expansive tomorrow?
  • How can we experience more heart and less doubt? More hope and less despair?

Here’s to aligning with the flow of love and power in unique ways that bring all of us abundant peace, beauty, joy, and light ~

Blessings, always ~

Embracing Libra’s Light ~ Autumn Equinox 2018

Hello Libra!

Autumn Equinox arrives in the west just after the quintessential time of Libra, when the Sun gives way to night by softening the cobalt sky with a sigh of lavender, rose, and golden love.

At 7:54 pm MDT, on Saturday, September 22, 2018, we’ll move from the arena of earthy, practical Virgo into the realm of airy, cooperative Libra, where our focus on ourselves expands to include others. Imagine less analysis and effort and more partnership and connection.

Can we bask in this space for a blissful moment in time? Can we place ourselves in the beauty of knowing that all is working out for us? Can we trust that we are being guided and supported on this Earthwalk and that we have absolutely everything that we need? That, as
co-creative beings on this planet, the Universe holds our highest visions as its own,
so we can expand together?

Transition is the theme and the gift of the season. Days shift into evenings. Autumn brings us from Summer to Winter. Life goes inward, to rest, to replenish, and renew.

Libra, Scorpio, and Sagittarius bless the season. Cardinal Air, Fixed Water, and Mutable Fire help us cultivate peace, transform, and expand.

As I write this, on the World day of Peace, I journey into the present moment of perfection. It’s always here, waiting for us to meet it. Now, as a gentle breeze sings through the fir trees, their branches busy with flitting chickadees and nuthatches, the bending aspen trees surrender their golden leaves to the forest floor, and all is well. Here. Now.

Cardinal signs (Libra, Aries, Capricorn, Cancer) call for expression and action. Fixed signs (Aquarius, Leo, Scorpio, Taurus) have a drawing power – they help us attract and receive.

The Sun and Mercury in Libra oppose Chiron in Aries, and their resulting T-square to Saturn in Capricorn emphasizes the need for healing around authority and boundaries – especially in terms of our bodies, our rights to ownership and survival, and our longing for balanced power.

At the same time, a fixed T-square between Rx (retrograde) Uranus opposite Venus in Scorpio square Mars in Aquarius continues to spice things up. This T-square turns into a cross thanks to a conjunction between Mars and the South Lunar Node in Aquarius and the North Lunar Node in Leo. Remodeling and shaking up our value systems and the way we reach out to meet and express our needs comes into play. If there is discord between what we love and how we get or receive it, we can expect it to show up.

T-squares give us the opportunity – and the challenge – to notice what is out of balance and to restore harmony. If we know that something is calling our attention, we’re less likely to trip over it or to be thrown off-center.

In two days, on Monday, September 24th, the Moon will wax full in Aries at 8:53 pm MDT. The cardinal T-square mentioned above will be heightened by the Moon’s fullness in the warrior-filled energy field of Mars.

When self-preservation (Aries) and harmony with others (Libra) are at either end of the spectrum, peace can be found in the middle where an understanding and acceptance of our interconnection abides.

Finding beauty in the moment can help temper any flare-ups that occur around and/or within us. Remembering that we can always choose how we respond to events can help – especially where Uranus is involved. To this end, cultivating inner peace is paramount. Breathe, ground, get out in nature and go into your heart ~ however and wherever
peace lives for you – go there, be that.

To top off the month, Pluto goes direct in Capricorn on September 30th. It’s time to completely reclaim our newfound and transformed relationship to personal and collective authority and power.

From a summer when 7 planets or asteroids were retrograde, we now enter early fall with only three slowing down – Neptune, Uranus, and Chiron (at least until Venus retrogrades in early October). Still, I am hearing from clients and friends that there remains a sense of delay or holding back – a lack of forward momentum, and to some degree, a sense of futility.

Fall is a time of going inward, so maybe that is part of it. Perhaps, like the Earth in the west, we are individually and collectively retreating to gather our strength. Maybe, just maybe, all is well. Here. Now.

With abundant blessings and beauty, always
~ Christina

Full Moon in Pisces and its blessing of a Kite ~

This month’s Full Moon will dawn on us in the west at 5:56 am MDT, on August 26th, 2018 at 3 degrees Pisces ~ encouraging us to feel, surrender, trust, and flow.

A GRAND Earth trine is formed by the Sun in Virgo, Saturn in Capricorn, and Uranus in Taurus. As the Full Moon opposes the Sun, it also sextiles both Saturn and Uranus, forming a Kite.

We can think of the Kite giving the Earth Trine a lift, helping us to focus on the energy that the Trine inspires and put it to practical use.

The Focal point in this Kite is the Sun at 3 degrees Virgo – the Moon at 3 degrees Pisces that opposes it offers a reference point so that we can see the clear purpose of the Sun’s expression. The two sextiles from the Moon to Saturn in Capricorn and Uranus in Taurus offer support in activating the energy of the trine.

The Sun at 3 degrees Virgo shows us the Sabian Symbol of Two Guardian Angels Bringing us Protection. Virgo is a healing sign, where we are driven to take the necessary steps to bring something to fruition, to make things function, to manifest the mastery that is funneled through the Piscean energy on the other side of its axis.

This Sabian Symbol reminds us to seek and trust the Higher Guidance
that always surrounds us.

The Full Moon at 3 degrees Pisces gives us the Sabian Symbol of A Petrified Forest, An Eternal Record of a Life Lived Long Ago. It speaks of the legacy that we leave behind, whether in the form of pictures, stories, diaries, art, or memories. It helps us conjure records carved in stone/Earth. This Moon calls us to consider our history and its impact on our present experience. What are we carrying from our past? Are we burdened or encouraged by it?
What did we let go of that we would be better off retrieving and cherishing?

Using the Moon’s influence and the Kite formation to make the most of the Earth Trine, we can connect with our value systems and make adjustments in our lives that nourish our hearts and surround us with beauty and love (Uranus in Taurus).

At the same time, we can reclaim our authority to form and build new boundaries that  allow the rivers of our lives to flow with more ease and grace (Saturn in Capricorn). Releasing  structures that were born out of expectation or obligation and surrendering to the flow of our highest truths allows us to stretch into lives that we love and makes space for possibilities (Saturn in Capricorn).

As we surrender to making the shifts that our higher guidance systems suggest, the natural outcome is that we heal old wounds, find new solutions to old problems, and literally walk our Spirit’s perfection forward with grace and light (Sun in Virgo).

Here’s to surrendering to the flow of higher currents and stepping more fully into our truths, our beauty, and our souls.
May we soar like kites on the winds of change.

With blessings, always,
~ Christina

Summer Solstice Magic ~

Just before dawn MDT on June 21, 2018, we entered the realm of Cancer, where everything grows. Cancer holds close to its heart that which it loves, and it nourishes what needs to be fed.

It feels everything. It knows what is needed to support growth and sustain life.

The lizard on the lichen-covered rock drinks in the warmth of the sunniest day of the year, completely trusting the present moment even as it dreams its future.

Seeds sowed in the spring bear flowers that open their petals to bees, butterflies, and birds. Water from recent rains quenches the forest and fills hollowed out places in cliffs high in the mountains for ground squirrels, warblers, and dark-eyed juncos.

Ruled by the moon, Cancer is the ultimate feminine goddess calling us home to her heart and hearth.

What nourishment do we seek now?

How willing are we to give what we receive to others that need it?

If we were to dwell in the space of our hearts, and then think and speak from there, what would we say?

In the warm days to come, as the moon waxes full in Capricorn next week and two eclipses in July command our attention, we’ll do well to revisit these questions and journey to our hearts and let love guide our thoughts, words, and steps…

Here’s to turning toward the light and growing…together.

Warm Summer Solstice Blessings ~

27 degrees Aquarius ~ the New Moon/Partial Solar Eclipse ~ and Us

I sit in the dark, silent space of the Balsamic Moon, just before she turns New, and the Sun is partially eclipsed tomorrow.

We’re in the late degrees of Aquarius now, where the sum of what we can accomplish together waits, ready to lift us beyond limits into the void of possibility.

If we are willing.

Are we willing to acknowledge our connection with each other?

What if we recognize – and celebrate – our inextricable humanity?

Balancing the Leo/Aquarius energies calls us to the center-point of self expression and the greater good. It requires showing up with courage, compassion, and acceptance.

Inclusion.

In this fertile place of awareness what we touch radiates from us like echoing beats of a ceremonial drum, stirring fresh patterns of light in our hearts, on the ground, in the sky.

We cannot go back.

We can only let go and rise into the void.

Together.

To create a new world.

I’ll see you there ~
Christina
