Creative Fire – Future Mind

The year’s first Total Lunar Eclipse occurs on January 31st at 11 degrees Leo. She’s Super (closest to the Earth) and Blue (the 2nd Full Moon in the month) – although, if we’re lucky enough to glimpse her, she’ll appear red during the eclipse, like the one pictured below. In the Mountain Time Zone, I’ll be joining her at 5:31 am in the western sky.

This powerful Moon joins Ceres, one of 4 asteroids that represent different faces of creative energy, at that same 11th degree of Leo. Ceres is known for her mothering and nurturing qualities, and she is fiercely dedicated to our growth. In Leo, she sparks us to bring our creative nature to fruition. What passions burn in our souls? In what ways do we seek to illumine the lives of those around us? How will we shine and warm others with our flames? Can we open our minds and hearts enough to be warmed by others?

The Moon’s Fullness in Leo comes from reflecting the Sun’s Aquarian glow, so our creative juices are best spent serving the whole of us, and not just for today, but tomorrow, and many days to come. The Sun will be conjunct Venus in Aquarius, inviting us to embrace love with impartiality and openness, and Juno, another asteroid that reflects the light of Spirit. In Aquarius, she supports us to suddenly manifest our hopes and wishes.

The Moon is also conjunct the North Node in Leo, calling us to strike the balance point between the best of Leo and Aquarius. Will we spark our creative fire to ignite our future mind?

Leo’s gifts are like that of its ruler, the Sun. It shines for all of life – and all of us – without expectations or conditions.  Aquarius offers gifts of impartial genius. Its ruler is Uranus, the great disrupter who snaps us to attention. It brings spontaneous inspiration and sudden changes that shake us out of our comfort zones. It asks us to take the hawk’s or eagle’s view – to see beyond the tiny stages where our individual lives play out – to distance ourselves from drama and connect to our collective sentient family. May we be like the Sun, nurture like the moon, see like the Hawk and Eagle, and co-create a world we love!

Eclipses bring opportunities for fresh starts. This one, in fixed signs, serves to help us release outworn paths of yesterday – places where we dig in; routes that are worn out; mundane habits that we move through without awareness; routines, patterns, ruts, and grooves carved in our brains – individually and collectively.

Beliefs about ourselves, beliefs about others, and beliefs about our connections with others – especially those that we’ve held for eons – come onto the stage now.

How they play out is entirely up to us.

Which roles, if any, will we hang onto?
Which roles will we cast off to make room for what is inspired?
How willing are we to enter a new realm of what is possible for our future selves?

With infinite willingness and blessings,
Christina

January’s New Moon in Capricorn ~ answering the call

Tonight’s New Moon in Capricorn fortifies our forward momentum with the help of Venus’s embrace, and Saturn, Mercury, and Pluto in Capricorn. If we want to buoy our efforts with resolve, strength, and power, the time is now! With this powerful line-up of Capricorn energy, we’re supported to not only set intentions for what we love to be manifested, but to actually take steps toward making them real.

Want a daily yoga practice? Get on your mat! Want to share more of your light in the world? Shine on! Want to change the status quo? Share your positive ideas and energy with others! Want to ______? Fill in the blank, claim your power, and make your move!

As one of the strongest women of our time says, “Step out of the history that is holding you back. Step into the new story you are willing to create.” Oprah ~

As we do this, let’s remember to bring the best of those seen and unseen who walked and worked before us along, because, let’s face it: we need all of the help we can get to make our collective leap.

Here’s to stepping forward into a brighter day, for the highest good of all relations ~

New Moon Blessings,
Christina ~

2018 ~ Changing the status quo ~ heeding whispers on the wind

The year begins with the Sun at 10 degrees Capricorn, conjunct Saturn at one degree, Venus at 8 degrees, and Pluto at 18 degrees of Capricorn. That’s a whole lot o’ Capricorn’s earthy energy to start our year! The Sun sextiles Mars in Scorpio (who happens to be conjunct Jupiter) and Neptune in Pisces ~ helping us to partner with our personal power and intuition. A Cardinal cross to Libra on the Ascending horizon and Aries on the Descending horizon asks us to continue clarifying and defining our identity. Who are we, truly? What have we learned since the 7 times that the cardinal energies of Pluto in Capricorn and Uranus in Aries squared off between the years of 2012 and 2015? What did we glean from the Venus transit of the Sun in June of 2012, when the Divine Feminine literally enveloped us with unconditional love?

These will be pivotal questions as more planets enter the feminine signs of earth and water in the months ahead.

The Moon casts its glow on the year as she waxes full in Cancer at 7:24 pm MST on January 1st. It’s the first of 2 full moons this month, with a Blue Moon in Leo at 6:27 am MST on January 31st, followed by a Total Lunar Eclipse just 4 minutes later. We can look to her at fullness at 11 degrees Cancer to reflect back to us what we’ve learned (and/or have yet to learn!) on our Earthwalk. As 2017 comes to a close, what needs to be released will be shown by her growing light. We’ll do well to reflect on what made us shine this past year and what led us to retreat into the shadowy places.

By blessing both ends of the spectrum of light – and everything in-between – we free ourselves to co-create new paths of growth, grace, and possibilities.

All things in the watery womb of Cancer are meant to grow, so the big question before us at the gateway to a new calendar year is:

What do we desire to grow?

Since the moon rules our emotional bodies, we may also ask, how are we feeling? what is our temperament? what is in our hearts? for this is what we’ll carry into 2018, and it will shape our experiences in the year ahead. Now is the time to let go of what is old or outworn and to step into the full responsibility of our intentions. I sense a year of striking changes ahead.

As I write this, tendrils of sandlewood incense, sage, and sweetgrass swirl around me, taking me back to ancient circles of healing, renewal, and rebirth. The purity of palo santo nudges my aura with a reminder me to be present with what is and not go too far ahead just yet…

To that end, I’ll be revisiting and expanding this post after I dream with the waxing moon tonight and dance with her fullness tomorrow. Until then, I wish all a powerful and gentle clearing, and a blessed awakening into 2018 ~ a year that calls for cooperation, balance, and absolute presence if we hope to rise to our capacity for change and expansion.

Update: January 5, 2018 ~

Not surprisingly, my time with the skybeings over the past few days brought abundant gifts in several dimensions ~ dreams, waking time, meditation, visitations from totems, tarot readings, etc. Tonight, as I sit under a canopy of flickering planets, shooting stars, and building clouds reflected by the rising moon, warm winds from the southwest whisper, “show more of who you are.” A deeper current lends encouragement to heed the call, so here I am.

When I began to offer my services so many years (lifetimes?) ago, I shaped my intentions with what I thought was a simple mantra: ‘to become a clear channel of unconditional love and light.’ The adage, be careful of what you ask for, comes to mind as I recall how often shadows fell, and continue to fall, on my path.

I suspect that most – if not all – who serve the whole of us by sharing our gifts pepper them with personal experiences, beliefs, and emotions. Authors, healers, readers, psychics, artists, actors, mediums…no matter what roles we play…we all have our filters – and thank goodness.

When I show up – when I really show up – to my soul, to the sky, to the earth, and the galaxy that holds us, it is as if I am lit from within. When I see the Rosette Nebula flirt with Orion, her sexy scarlet salsa dance stirs something ancient and powerful inside of me. When I connect with the cool blue aura of Uranus in Aries as it rises in the eastern horizon, I become electric with possibility and verve. When the Pleiades cluster comes into view on clear cold nights, my heart knows the immediate and complete warmth of pure love.

Having a fixed grand cross in fixed houses can trip you up – literally and figuratively – over, and over, and over…thus the fixedness. Having Aries at your Midheaven suggests that what you do in the world – your calling, your mission, your vision – is bound to be personal. I have both of these configurations in my natal chart, and I can speak to the accuracy of those effects with absolute certainty. I also know that within that certainty lies limitless possibility.

When I read charts for those that consult me, I am first awed by their courage to show up; then, by their willingness to witness what is possible; and finally, to see them champion the brilliant starry paths they intended to dance into life. When their inner sparks of light connect with the ones that shone as they entered the Earth’s sphere, it is pure magic, and I am humbly honored and blessed to witness the reunions.

What I share in my readings, posts, and photos comes from my heart as I connect to the great mystery. Nothing that I write is, nor ever will be, otherwise. I’m also blessed and ever-grateful to glimpse – and sometimes capture – the exquisite beauty of our earthly and heavenly bodies in my photos, which I include in my readings. They also grace all of my posts with the exception of some of NASA’s best (which I credit as due). True to my chart, it’s all personal, and a gift that I’m blessed to share.

This is indeed a year for startling changes; we’re moving faster and faster, and shadows and distractions are mounting. Fortunately, when we show up – when each of us shows up – we are given everything we need to change the status quo. We literally become what we need.

Here’s to showing up in 2018 ~ to seeking and heeding wisdom that comes on the winds of change ~ for the highest good of all relations. It is time.

With blessings of clear unconditional love and light, always,

Christina

ps ~ more to come soon on our collective celestial journey through January….until then, keep showing – and looking – up! I offer deep gratitude for your gifts.

December’s Gifts from Above ~

Before most of us in the western world rise on December 1st, 2017, Venus will already have shifted into the expansive, ever-wise sign of Sagittarius at 2:14 am MST – encouraging us to stretch ourselves in the areas and moments governed
by Love and Truth –

and, when it comes right down to it, isn’t that every area,
and every moment?

I cannot imagine a place, nor state of mind that wouldn’t benefit from the presence of love – nor from the love of presence.
As more truths become exposed in our world, Venus in Sagittarius asks, “How we will meet them?” She implores us to step into our courageous feminine aspects and show up with love. Nothing more. Nothing less.

Mars in Libra will oppose Uranus in Aries as the month begins so we have even more motivation to find and come from a place of loving kindness.

Saturn has been helping us with the exposure of truth for some time now.

On December 3rd, at 12:34 am MST, Mercury, the Messenger planet of communication, not only joins Saturn in that mission, but also turns back in the end degrees of Sagittarius to enter a Retrograde period until Dec. 22nd.
Keeping in mind the shadow period on either period of that timeframe – when Mercury passes the zodiacal degrees of its retrograde path, we know that Mercury in Sagittarius has been working in the background already – and will continue to do so into 2018. The shadow period for this  Rx cycle is mid-November 2017 to January 11, 2018.

Rx Mercury in Sagittarius asks us first to seek and clarify the truth, then to understand and speak it. It helps us to see our paths from a higher place, and if we’re intelligent enough –
if we’re courageous enough – we’ll slow down, center ourselves, and then stand up enough to see, think, and speak from that vantage point. When we cooperate, Mercury’s gift is wisdom.

December’s Full Moon in Gemini is a Super Moon that adds to the excitement of the month’s first weekend. It peaks at 8:47 am MST, just after Mercury begins to slow down on December 3rd, 2017. The Gemini/Sagittarius axis is all about learning and teaching; questioning and knowing; seeking and expanding ~ always with wisdom being the subject.

Let’s roam – inside, outside, wherever ~ with open minds and open hearts!

If we’ve been noticing an increase in our sixth sense, we can thank both Neptune and Chiron in Pisces. Neptune went direct in November after a long retrograde period. On Dec. 3rd, Neptune squares the Full Moon, which could bring challenges if we aren’t tuning into and trusting our intuition. So, let’s check in, first.

Chiron goes direct on Dec. 5th. Chiron symbolizes the wise healer within, so we have even more encouragement to be compassionate with ourselves, which surely will radiate out to the world. Chiron in Pisces also reminds us to practice non-attachment when we may tend to taking things too personally. See the gift.

Mars, the fiery planet that helps us reach out for what we want, moves into Scorpio in the night sky on December 9th. Personal power and influence come into play and the power of and in secrets is emphasized. We can likely expect more of humanity’s underbelly to be revealed and we will do well to watch our need for control in personal relationships and interactions with others. Scorpio’s keywords are I desire – and Mars is an older ruler of Scorpio (the newer ruler is Pluto) so Mars is perfectly suited for ramping up personal power as it drives through the sign of Scorpio. Passion and intensity can help us accomplish amazing feats if channeled with intention ~ otherwise, watch out for Scorpio’s sting! It’s definitely a time to focus our attention on what we truly want!

Five planets line up in Sagittarius for the New Moon on Dec. 17th, 2017 at 11:30 pm MST. Mercury Rx and Venus embrace the Sun and Moon on one side, while Saturn closes the circle on the other. If there ever was a time to plant seeds of truth that will culminate in our collective growth and expansion, this is it.

A fiery trine from the New Moon in Sagittarius to Uranus in Aries and Ceres in Leo supports the activation and assertion of individual rights and freedom of expression in ways that feed our creative souls. It’s time to spark what inspires us, and to revel in the light.

Just before the winter solstice, Saturn will move from Sagittarius into Capricorn, emphasizing the importance of restructuring larger systems in our world, especially those that hold authority. Sifting through the truths that Saturn in Sagittarius recently revealed, we are now  asked to respond. How much authority will we continue to abdicate to those in power? How can we align with Saturn to restructure our collective boundaries?

I was recently blessed with the opportunity to rise with the desert Sun with other kindred relations each morning – we sat in a circle around a bonfire as the Sun ascended into a sky
of pink, orange, and blue ribbons. In a simplified, yet humble and grateful way, we honored a native tradition of offering our prayers to all our relations. As we invoked the directions, swirls of white sage and flute song encircled us and cleared our minds so we could touch what matters. Doves, including the one pictured above, lined up to welcome the sun with us. As our hearts softened, we offered our intentions to the fire and the smoke carried our concerns, our wishes, our gratitudes upward. During moments like these, I’m reminded of what is right, and good, and true. Something stirs in my heart’s soul that transcends limitation and suffering ~ and all my relations are blessed by what I witness and what I open to.

The Winter Solstice is another sacred time for my soul, when the Sun’s light rises to the drumbeats of kindred souls and our collective heart beats in tune to something deep,
ancient, and true. This year, that sacred moment occurs on December 21st, at 9:28 am MST, when the Sun shifts into Capricorn. If it is true that Capricorn represents the outer limits of our evolution of consciousness, then let us stretch those limits more than what we believe is possible. Let us work together and help each other as we climb the mountain,
so that all of us can see, and know, and love what lies ahead.

As the month ends, all of the planets will be in direct motion offering forward momentum. Here’s to aligning and running with it into a brighter world!

May all relations know what is true ~ May all relations know love ~
May all relations know more kindness and beauty ~

Many blessings, always,
Christina

October’s New Moon in Libra: Be the Eagle ~ Be the Dove

October’s New Moon in Libra brings us to the center point between ourselves and each other. The Moon and Sun in Libra oppose Uranus in Aries exactly, while they square Pluto in Capricorn. We’ll likely feel an urgency to find harmonious balance (Libra) as we express our unique selves (Aries) while reclaiming the personal and collective power that we’ve abdicated to others (Capricorn). The precision with which these themes are playing out in our world now is absolutely heart-rending. Love/Power; Feminine/Masculine; Receptivity/Activation; Peace/War. Even though our world of is one of duality, I am convinced that we can come to the center and honor the best of both/all sides.
I also believe that we are being encouraged and supported to do exactly that.

The Sabian Symbol for October’s New Moon at 26 degrees Libra is an eagle and a large white dove turning constantly into each other.

Eagle medicine is rich with strength, power, and wisdom, while the Dove’s power lies in its affinity for peace, gentleness, and innocence. Can we turn into the best of ourselves and each other?

Can we embody our strength and courage while being awake to the dynamic and transformative power of love and peace?

Can we – will we – value emotional and spiritual realms while walking on this Earth?

When you infuse any situation or expression with love, it is forever altered. We are being encouraged and supported to alter our human journey now.

The Sabian symbol of an eagle and a large white dove turning constantly into each other calls for an active, dynamic integration of our values with our will, or desires.

What/whom do we love? Are our thoughts, words, and actions aligned with our answer to that question? Will we be the Eagle? Will we be the Dove? When will we embrace the expression of both of them?

~ BE THE EAGLE ~ BE THE DOVE ~

Uranus in Aries is visible in the night sky now. Facing East, the direction of New Beginnings, may we invoke the innovation that Aries offers for the survival of all species, our world, our Universe.

The Orionid meteor showers are also at their height ~ go outside to a night sky near you and send gratitude to the ever-abundant and loving galaxy that lifts us out of isolation and into realms of connection and possibility.

Most importantly, give love ~ give love to yourself, give love to your fellow humans, give love to all sentient beings ~ in our world and beyond.
Because the power of love, and its range, is truly infinite…

Love and Blessings to all, always,

Christina

Full Moon in Aries ~ A Flock of Geese

The Sabian Symbol* for October 5th’s Full Moon at 12 degrees Aries is A Flock of Geese.

When we consider how the flock flies in formation, we notice that the geese alternate the role of the leader ~ taking time to rest when needed by moving to the line of the V formation,
and/or  moving up to the front and leading when strong. In this way, the success of the whole flock is served, and their mutual goal of reaching their destination is realized.

Given that the highest expression of Aries is met when its opposing sign of Libra is honored with equal consideration, this is a perfect symbol for today’s Full Moon. It encompasses the wisdom of nurturing and caring for the self (Aries’ mantra is I Am), while considering what will work for the good of the whole (Libra’s mantra is We Are). It also helps us redefine how we see leadership ~ all of us have our gifts, and none are better, nor more valuable than another’s ~ only different. In fact, we all win when each of our unique (another Aries word) gifts are acknowledged and shared (Libra’s aim).
Wild Geese

This Moon ramps up a few aspects that have been encouraging us to take our turns as leaders in the world. First, it squares Pluto in Capricorn, which has been asking us to transform the way that we define – and allow our lives to be defined by – power. Personal Power, Authority, Systems, Institutions, Norms, and Mores are all under scrutiny – and have been for some time now. We are being asked not only to question whom or what we give our authority to, but also to reclaim it for ourselves. Pluto in Capricorn is also squaring Jupiter in Libra right now, which asks us again, to grow and expand our sense of shared power – power that is harmonious for the whole.

When people talk about the intensity of this Full Moon, I believe that the square to Pluto has much to do with it, along with the fact that Aries is ruled by Mars – which wants what it wants – when it wants it!

When I see challenges like this in a chart, I always look for the gifts. The energetic patterns that can help us with this potentially combative, warrior-like expression of Aries, are found in the Full Moon’s trine to Saturn in Sagittarius, which encourages an expansive redefinition of boundaries and structures. It seeks the higher truth and wants liberation from confinement. When we add the gift of Saturn’s trine to Uranus at the end of Aries to this equation, we see another channel for connecting to the flow. We can express our uniqueness by making changes that support our freedom. Uranus always wants us to stretch our Saturn boundaries. It pulls us from the realm of the personal planets into the transpersonal ones, where evolution beckons.

By all means, this Full Moon encourages us to breathe into the space of peace when riled, to move in ways that let stagnant or repressed energies be felt and expressed, to ground in to the Earth’s strength and be willing to step up the game and demonstrate our gifts. However, at the same time, like the geese, we can step back and nurture our selves, and rest as we’re guided, knowing that the whole of us is better served when we are balanced and strong.

*The Sabian Symbols were channeled in the early 1900’s by a blind woman who used her inner sight to identify visions for each degree of the zodiac. They are used by astrologers around the world for their wisdom.

May the Full Moon’s blessings illumine our world ~ for the highest good of all relations.

Grounding and Healing with Virgo’s New Moon ~

Earth's peace of mind

The moon slips into a void of course phase just as it becomes new tomorrow – Tuesday evening, Sept. 19, 2017, at 11:30 pm MDT, making this New Moon in Virgo a perfect time to ground, center, and heal ourselves and our world.

love's golden light

The trees shared here hold unique gifts for the shadowy side of Virgo, where worry and guilt can occupy more than their fair share of space in the otherwise proficient consciousness of Virgo. The essence of Aspen help to connect us to a sense of well-being, dispelling worry – especially about what is unknown. Pine’s essence helps us release guilt and embrace the art of forgiveness, particularly in relation to ourselves.

Connect to the forest floor.
Ground into the Earth as trees do.

healing pinesImagine breathing in the scents and energies of this aspen and pine forest as the Earth willingly heals what we release. In return, she generously fills us with strength to greet what the new day – and night – brings. As we ground into this moment, wherever we are on Earth, we connect to what calls to be nurtured, healed.

Virgo is the ultimate healer, dedicated to service of the Earth, first and foremost. When we renew ourselves in her realm, we come to know our capacity to heal, to serve, to grow. We emerge more upright, aligned with a more perfect – and accurate – vision of our potential.
May we embrace the wisdom of the forest, remain centered and peaceful, and spread abundant blessings on the Earth, always ~

August 2017 ~ Contemplating and Creating our Paths of Light

Tomorrow, on August 7, 2017, the Full Moon occurs at 15° Aquarius at 12:11 pm MDT, when it opposes the Sun at 15° Leo.  A Partial Lunar Eclipse follows closely behind at 12:22 pm MDT. A total Solar Eclipse arrives on August 21, 2017 at 12:26 pm MDT.

Mars, the red planet, ignites both eclipses that occur this month as it nears the Sun in Leo. Mars offers the energy to reach out for what we want and fire signs encourage inspiration. Mars in Leo wants to shine and attention amplifies its expression – the more it is noticed, the greater its performance. Its potent energy is best used consciously. When we repress or deny it, we can encounter ‘accidents’.

Leo is synonymous with will – its ruler is the Sun, the creative force of life. Aquarius is synonymous with possibilities. It is ruled by Uranus, the closest of the transpersonal planets. It serves to connect the expression of our personal will with our collective will. It inspires visions of what is possible so that our personal expressions serve higher aims. Sometimes it does this abruptly in ways that shake us to our core; other times we can experience lightening bolts of inspiration that spur us to change direction or take some long-overdue action.

One thing that is certain about Uranus’s influence is that while events and/or the actions of others are outside of our control, we always have the ability to choose how we respond to what occurs. This August could well be a time to take a few deep breaths, count to ten – repeatedly – or to step back from discord to gather our best selves in order to respond, rather than react. Ultimately, if we’re able to tap into and move with the energy that surrounds us now, our lives will flow with more grace and joy, and Leo loves to play!

Leo’s fire is about self-expression and creativity, while Aquarius’s air encourages consideration of what is possible for our planetary family. When we cultivate and ignite choices that honor both of these energies, we maximize the power of this full moon and partial lunar eclipse.

What urges do we feel now, and who do our urges serve? Do they bring us joy?

What are we inspired to say, do, or create? How will our words, actions, and creations improve the world?

Who are we inspired to be – as individuals in a universal family?

In-between the space of the eclipses, on August 12th, Mercury, the messenger planet, goes retrograde (Rx) in Virgo. It joins Saturn in Sagittarius, Chiron and Neptune in Pisces, Uranus in Aries, and Pluto in Capricorn in that trajectory. This shift brings the cosmic prescription or major pause button in the sky to a more personal level. Opportunities to stop, contemplate, and clarify our intentions is emphasized again.Consideration is critical. Reconsideration, even better.
Mercury likes being in Virgo, but plans may need to be revised in order to be effective. Letting ideas gestate is important during periods when Mercury goes retrograde. We can seek to balance the urgency of Mars in Leo with the perspective of Mercury retrograde in Virgo by allowing space for the editing process.

The third week of August brings the Total Solar Eclipse at 28° Leo, amplifying the themes above. Mars remains in play on the Leo side of the stage, and Mercury Rx joins the party on the Virgo side.
A Grand Fire trine connects the energies of the Sun, Moon, and Mars in Leo with Saturn in Sagittarius and Uranus in Aries. Now, we’re urged to express our highest, most expansive truths as we light up the world’s stage with our brilliance in innovative ways that are uniquely ours. Whew! Breathe that in….and, no pressure!! Or, as Mary Oliver said, “Breathe it all in, Love it all out.”

All that being said, Eclipses assist us in clearing the way so that a new expression of ourselves and our lives may emerge. If this feels like a mountain of pressure that makes us want to retreat, then we can retreat – but let’s do it consciously! The world is full of possibilities and choices. All of the retrograde energies certainly support us in nurturing ourselves as we surrender what is ready to be released, what no longer serves our evolving visions, personally and collectively. This may well be the path: the one that is illuminated. Here. Now.

With Abundant Gratitude and Blessings for each one of us and the Light that we are…always.

Abundant Summer Solstice Blessings ~

As the wheel turns and the Sun enters the realm of Cancer’s deep oceans and powerful shifting tides this evening (June 20th, 2017 at 10:24 pm MT), I invite us to ponder what we want to grow over the next 3 Moon cycles ~ Cancer is all about nurturing and growing ourselves, our families, and our hearts. May we connect with our larger family in the name of growth for all sentient beings ~ so that all may be blessed.

Cancer is ruled by the Moon, whose reflection of the Sun’s light shifts the waters of the Earth and stirs the mysteries within our Souls. The newborns that we once were, suspended in the womb of our mothers reach for us now ~ and the deep primal need for safety, warmth, and love emerges once again. In a world where the certainty that our needs will be – and are being – met is tenuous, Cancer asks us to feel our way through

Some of the outer planets are retrograding now, adding to the urgency we may feel for both growth and safety – freedom and discipline. As Saturn slows and journeys backward in the expansive sign of Sagittarius, we’re being invited to stretch our limits in many areas – to revisit beliefs and structures that hold us back.
Neptune is retrograding in its home sign of Pisces, deepening our emotions and intuition – asking us to trust what we know but cannot see.
Pluto is retrograde in Capricorn, drawing out the period of time needed for a true and lasting transformation of the ways that power is manifested – especially where abuses of it exist. Rather than assisting us to remodel our existing outworn institutions, Pluto urges us to level them so that we can begin again.

Happily, the ever-helpful planet of Jupiter has gone direct this month in the harmonious and balancing sign of Venus-ruled Libra. Jupiter’s aim is to help us grow in wisdom. In Libra, the key to that wisdom lies in considering both sides – ours and others, yours and mine, yes and no. As we align with the potential abundance of Jupiter’s blessings, may we see both/and a bit more often than we see either/or.

May the harmony of all of these planets, and the rest that I haven’t mentioned but always appreciate, stir within each of us on this Solstice in ways that birth the best of all that we are capable of being.

Here are a few of Cancer’s friends for inspiration on the journey of loving ourselves, and each other, enough ~

Abundant Blessings to All on this Summer Solstice ~
May we grow together in Love, always…Christina
