September’s Full Moon in Pisces & the Power of Compassion

September’s Full Moon in Pisces illuminates the night sky and infuses our dreams on Friday the 13th, at 10:33 pm MDT, but many of us are already feeling her powerful pull.

When she peaks at 21 degrees of Pisces, she’ll shine just 4 degrees away from Neptune – the compassionate and powerful ruler of Pisces – and together they’ll oppose the Sun, Mars, Venus, and Mercury in Virgo.

The opposition between Neptune and Mars will be exact at 17 degrees, increasing the intensity, so pausing and centering ourselves with deep breaths is a perfect coping skill to cultivate now. Meanwhile, both Venus and Mercury will be conjunct at the final degree of Virgo, encouraging us to clean up any unfinished business in our hearts and minds before moving into the more peaceful realm of Libra.

September’s Full Moon also forms a cooperative sextile to Pluto in Capricorn, while the Sun in Virgo creates a trine of earthy support to it. And, the North Node in Cancer comes into play with a watery, emotional trine to the Moon.

Meanwhile, the opposing line of energy from the Full Moon/Neptune in Pisces and Sun/Mars in Virgo creates a T-square to Jupiter in Sagittarius – adding some fire into the mix as well as a tendency to overdo things, or overextend ourselves.

No wonder we’re feeling this one on so many levels!

“What does this mean?” is probably the question that astrologers hear more often than any other, and I hear it in my head now. Even though what this means for each of us varies depending on how these celestial bodies line up in our personal birth charts, there are some general patterns in play that deserve our attention.

First, Full Moons help us celebrate our successes! Our efforts culminate and we can fully express and honor ourselves and each other. Soon enough, we can turn toward releasing what is ready to go as the cycle of the Moon continues to flow. For this moment in time, though, the spotlight shines on living like we mean it, so the real question is: Are we?
Are we shifting enough to and see ourselves – and each other – as whole, perfect beings?

Any Full Moon in Pisces helps us to feel everything deeper and fuller and the way this one lines up with other potent planets heightens things even more. Fortunately, just knowing that emotions are elevated can help us tone down any potential flare-ups, reactive outbursts, or bouts of self-deprecation and judgment.

While we may be tempted to escape from and/or overreact to dramas around us – or even initiate them – the wiser use of these energies is to stay grounded in our centers and express ourselves with compassion.

Staying close to the grace of forgiveness and dissolution will be helpful, too.

The Piscean sphere of influence is all about unity and if we separate ourselves from the higher truth of that, well…we’ll simply add more fuel to the already raging fires in our world. Embodying the healing potential of this period will have the opposite effect. To that end, the Full Moon’s trine to the North Node in Cancer reminds us to pay special attention to our level of self-care.

How we’re nurturing ourselves (or neglecting to do so) during these tumultuous
times ripples outward and affects the whole of humanity.

We’re still in the midst of turning over some heavy patterns from the past that tend to hold our collective consciousness down, and we’ve been here for some time. This Moon’s sextile to Pluto helps us cooperate with each other to truly transform tired and old worn-out ways of living, while the Sun’s earthy trine to Pluto empowers us to make our changes tangible.

In fact, all of the aspects this Moon touches support our growth ~ it’s simply up to us to respond in kind and embody it.

At this very moment, the radiant and almost Full Moon rises behind me in the eastern sky as the western one blushes with rose and peach sweetness before me. The Earth’s mountains carve the sky with her peaks and valleys as dragonflies give way to bats.
Deep and wide gratitude ripples from my heart
in an endless circle of love
and all is well
~

With great blessings, always,

Full Moon in Pisces and its blessing of a Kite ~

This month’s Full Moon will dawn on us in the west at 5:56 am MDT, on August 26th, 2018 at 3 degrees Pisces ~ encouraging us to feel, surrender, trust, and flow.

A GRAND Earth trine is formed by the Sun in Virgo, Saturn in Capricorn, and Uranus in Taurus. As the Full Moon opposes the Sun, it also sextiles both Saturn and Uranus, forming a Kite.

We can think of the Kite giving the Earth Trine a lift, helping us to focus on the energy that the Trine inspires and put it to practical use.

The Focal point in this Kite is the Sun at 3 degrees Virgo – the Moon at 3 degrees Pisces that opposes it offers a reference point so that we can see the clear purpose of the Sun’s expression. The two sextiles from the Moon to Saturn in Capricorn and Uranus in Taurus offer support in activating the energy of the trine.

The Sun at 3 degrees Virgo shows us the Sabian Symbol of Two Guardian Angels Bringing us Protection. Virgo is a healing sign, where we are driven to take the necessary steps to bring something to fruition, to make things function, to manifest the mastery that is funneled through the Piscean energy on the other side of its axis.

This Sabian Symbol reminds us to seek and trust the Higher Guidance
that always surrounds us.

The Full Moon at 3 degrees Pisces gives us the Sabian Symbol of A Petrified Forest, An Eternal Record of a Life Lived Long Ago. It speaks of the legacy that we leave behind, whether in the form of pictures, stories, diaries, art, or memories. It helps us conjure records carved in stone/Earth. This Moon calls us to consider our history and its impact on our present experience. What are we carrying from our past? Are we burdened or encouraged by it?
What did we let go of that we would be better off retrieving and cherishing?

Using the Moon’s influence and the Kite formation to make the most of the Earth Trine, we can connect with our value systems and make adjustments in our lives that nourish our hearts and surround us with beauty and love (Uranus in Taurus).

At the same time, we can reclaim our authority to form and build new boundaries that  allow the rivers of our lives to flow with more ease and grace (Saturn in Capricorn). Releasing  structures that were born out of expectation or obligation and surrendering to the flow of our highest truths allows us to stretch into lives that we love and makes space for possibilities (Saturn in Capricorn).

As we surrender to making the shifts that our higher guidance systems suggest, the natural outcome is that we heal old wounds, find new solutions to old problems, and literally walk our Spirit’s perfection forward with grace and light (Sun in Virgo).

Here’s to surrendering to the flow of higher currents and stepping more fully into our truths, our beauty, and our souls.
May we soar like kites on the winds of change.

With blessings, always,
~ Christina

September’s Cosmic Shifts ~ Super Moons x 3 ~ Shine On!

Golden Journey ~Golden Harvest Greetings!

The Super Moon in Pisces on August 29th (at 12:35 pm MDT) emphasizes making our dreams become reality because it illuminates both Pisces and Virgo energy. On the Sun’s side, we find Jupiter, expanding what we focus on; on the Moon’s side, we find Neptune, taking us deeper into the mystery and the emotional waters of life. Given the amplification of all things emotional, we’ll do well to watch for ‘over the top’ reactivity. Staying centered on Earth while connected with the world of Spirit offers peace and enlightenment. To make the most of these energies where surrendering and co-creating merge, we might consider keeping a dream journal along with our list of goals to reach. This Pisces Super Moon is perfect for preparing us the next two Super Moons(in Aries and Taurus) and the eclipses to come. Letting go of whatever is not working is highly encouraged! Imagine that…

Virgo-Pisces TIP ~ if the question “Whose responsibility is this?” surfaces, look into a mirror, then smile at your reflection! It’s all about choices – seeing ours, and if necessary consciously choosing again… and granting others that same right. At its best, Virgo learns from all of its mistakes – er…choices!

Two planets end their retrograde cycles this month, even as Mercury begins its own.
Venus moves direct in Leo on the 6th, so we can look for more forward motion in all things Venus related: beauty, love, comfort, pleasure. Think ‘law of attraction’ and draw what is valued closer. Making what we love real is Venus’s specialty; in Leo, all the better if it brings illumination and helps us shine!

Pluto moves direct on the 25th, in Capricorn. Pluto moves slowly, so it will be in Capricorn for a while, where it aids our evolution by helping us break down – or through – power structures that keep us stagnant. On a personal level, its shift supports areas of transformation that help us expand and grow.

September 13th brings the New Moon in Virgo (more co-creation opportunities!) at 12:41 am and a PARTIAL SOLAR ECLIPSE shortly after that at 12:52 am. Fresh starts, clean slates, and new perceptions prevail. Again, Virgo/Pisces is on stage helping us make what is unconscious conscious. A nod to Chiron helps us tap into intuition and support from beyond this realm – and assists our leap of faith to manifest our biggest dreams. Look and listen for insight from higher places and keep that dream journal close!

Mercury turns retrograde this month from September 17th to October 9th. Beginning its turn at 15º Libra, it conjures the image of the center of a teeter-totter where balance is struck. What if, when faced with two opposing viewpoints, instead of wrestling our way through the fray we found a way to acknowledge both? At its best, Libra seeks harmony and peace. In our world of duality and contrast, it offers respite, solace ~ breathing space. Remember standing in the center of the teeter-totter until it was suspended equally on both sides? This is the mental game to embrace as Mercury retrograde gives us pause. In the middle – where suffering is neutralized, instead of pitting opposites against each other –
we give both sides room to simply be. Think compassionate detachment when things seemingly ‘breakdown’.

Autumn arrives on the 23rd as the wheel spins into Libra at 2:20 am, the home of harmony, peace, and equilibrium. Gathering our harvest ~ again, with compassion ~
is supported now.

Back to the Super Moon Energy! September’s Super Moon on the 27th at 8:50 pm MDT follows the peak of a TOTAL LUNAR ECLIPSE at 04º Aries at 8:47 pm MDT. Aries is where the zodiac wheel begins again and is all about a fresh start; this event amps up the energy of survival, emergence, and living out loud. Ruled by Mars, it commands self-expression. Libra, which hosts the Sun now, is ruled by Venus, and implores us to consider relationship. The challenge? To honor others while simultaneously honoring the self…or conversely, understanding that honoring the self truly honors all – if our intentions are pure and unconditional.

That takes us through September – the month of harvest – may yours be both beautiful and bountiful! More good stuff to come in October when the Super Moon in Taurus helps us build on what we’ve gathered. Until then, I’ll be sleeping and dreaming with these three Super Moons and sharing what shows up!

Many blessings, always,

Christina
