The ripples, waves, and tears of Pisces ~

February’s New Moon cycle in Pisces brings us closer to all that is Sacred. It reminds us of our connections – to our hearts, our joys, our tears, and each other. It asks us to let go, to listen, and to trust what shows up.As I write this, in the dark of the Balsamic Moon, I know that her light will return tomorrow, Sunday, February 23, 2020 at 8:32 am MST. Tuning in to the rhythm of Earth’s lunar phases helps me to flow with life rather than struggle against it. In this place, I discover that the gifts of the darkness are equal to those that exist in the light. It’s quiet here. There is spaciousness and a sense of mystery. A palpable sense of healing support envelops me. I am not alone. We are not alone.

I’ve been honored to witness the transitions of myriad brave fellow human and animal beings in recent days, months, and years. Life is tenuous and impermanent, yet when I view it with the lens of Pisces, it also feels strong and everlasting.

The power of Spirit never ceases to astonish me. It is present in the arms of a comforting embrace and eye contact held without the need for words. It shows up when we step outside of our expectations long enough to be surprised by the kindness of others. It flourishes in the richest source of healing liquid on the planet – our tears.

Ripples ~ waves ~ tides ~ feelings ~ emotions.

How do we navigate these forces of water in our world?

When the Moon is new and in Pisces, if we trust enough, the answer arrives. We simply have to show up. It is as simple and challenging as that. If we’re courageous enough, we’re blessed beyond measure.

Here’s to showing up, diving in, and trusting the ebb and flow of life and love.

With great blessings, gratitude and grace,

March’s New Moon in Pisces and the Wisdom of Adaptability

As Mercury begins its retrograde journey today at 29° Pisces, it’s encouraging us
to surrender old issues and wounds, and it’s amplifying its message by tugging on
Chiron at 00° Aries.

While it’s true that we must begin again in Aries in order to grow, the messenger planet is asking us to make sure we’ve cleaned everything up. Even – and especially – the stuff we’re not consciously aware of: the stuff gathering dust in dark corners, the stuff we revisit in our dreams, the covert stuff we’d rather not discover or accept.

The courageous ones among us will tend to our inner whispers and dreams. The wise ones will cultivate patience, meditation, and allowing. Then, when the timing is just right, we will begin the process of gestating the ideas that are calling for fresh air and light.

Tomorrow morning, on March 6th, 2019, at 9:04 am MST, the New Moon joins Neptune and Vesta in watery Pisces, and sextiles Mars in earthy Taurus and Saturn in earthy Capricorn on either side of it. It also creates a T-square to Juno in airy Gemini and Ceres in fiery Sagittarius, while it squares Jupiter in Sagittarius.

The nature of this Pisces New Moon is watery, feminine, and mutable.

Mutable – adjective– liable to change.

The importance of adaptability was made clear to me as I recently traveled with a friend to the high desert of Sedona just after a record snowstorm. Witnessing the miracle of desert rock formations draped in thick snow, I felt that Mother Earth was quenching her thirst, and I drank in her beauty as I walked with extra care upon her.

As the snow melted, it traveled through rising creeks as sunlight danced with joy upon the swirls and pools that refreshed prickly pear cacti, twisted juniper, and pinyon pine. Forgoing
our plans for long hikes on sacred lands, we breathed into the beauty that presented itself around us and
flowed with what was.

We’re living in a time where the Universe is asking us if we’re sure of ourselves. And sometimes (often, it seems), it nudges us to choose again. The ability to notice and heed the nudges is at the heart of this New Moon’s gift…and gifts are best when received with open hearts.

Here’s to receiving the abundant blessings of adaptability and flowing with grace ~

With great blessings and gratitude, always,

A cosmic reflection on the space in-between

full

The space in-between eclipses – n. a pause between the inhale and exhale of the cosmos. February’s Full Moon in Leo on the 10th brought a Penumbral Lunar Eclipse and on this Sunday, the 26th, the New Moon in Pisces will emerge moments after the peak of an Annular Solar Eclipse. As I attune to higher realms, I sense a spaciousness being stretched to its boundaries by questions. At the core of this ever-expanding galactic balloon is this one:

Can we trust the space in-between?

Are we willing to exist where we are neither letting go nor receiving? Can we live without attachment to either/or?

new

I was planning on writing about the typical issues that tend to surface when we are in-between the cycles of eclipses: What are we willing to release that has outlived its value? What will we erase in order to write a new script? Yet, as the wind whips through the skies on this evening when the Moon in Capricorn cooperates with Neptune, I am finding myself shifting into a different place – one that feels more fertile, pregnant even, with possibility. When I sit in this place of limitless presence, all that was and all that will be is here with me, and all is well.

Come. Breathe in. Pause.

Breathe out. Pause.

Let the Cosmos breathe you awake in the space in-between ~

With infinite blessings from this ever-expansive space,
