Where Power and Love Unite ~ Full Moon in Taurus 2018

The moon waxes full on Wednesday, October 24th, 2018 at 10:45 am MDT. At one degree Taurus, the Moon joins Retrograde (Rx) Uranus and opposes the Sun and Rx Venus in Scorpio. Their opposition forms a Fixed Cross with the lunar nodes in Leo and Aquarius.

This cosmic event spotlights what we love and value and urges us to look deeper
at how we attract and express it.

It also brings up the question:

Does what we’re attracting sustain our collective tomorrow?

Uranus is a transpersonal planet with an innovative energy signature from the future; it’s concerned with the collective. In grounded, earthy Taurus, it asks much more of us. No longer content to settle for old, stagnant ways of living, we must stretch into new territory and build what is viable for the future.  Think of making updates that benefit the majority.

Changes can come in sudden flashes of insight or in the form of unexpected disruptions.
When Uranus goes retrograde, we’re given the chance to see our reality from a wider perspective. If we’re willing, we can drop into the space between worlds and find ways to embrace changes that benefit the whole of humanity.

Change is inevitable. Our best option is to let go of what is archaic
and no longer serves our evolution, and then to allow the future
to unfold
and grace our lives.

Venus is a very personal planet that helps us draw that which we love to us. When retrograde, we are invited to explore and know real love. The kind that lives deep in our hearts and exists beyond the constructs of love that we were taught to believe. If we’re open enough, this period offers a window through which we can begin to see ourselves with absolute love.

The journey to the center is called for in any opposition, and this Full Moon is no exception. We are aiming for the balance of love and power – with a spark of inspiration and help from – and for – our future.

When we take stock of what we love and value and are willing to inspire and implement the changes that we’re shown, we’ll know the infinite, omnipotent, and true nature of love.

We may notice emotional swings and/or a sense of restlessness with this Moon’s energies, especially if there are fixed patterns or habits that we’re working on transforming. Fixed crosses compel us to find ways to release pent-up, stuck emotions. Cultivating a keen sense of self-awareness and expressing ourselves in creative ways can help us move through challenges.

If we can tap into and embrace what our hearts know, we will serve not only ourselves, but others as well, and we’ll flow with the powerful currents of Scorpio and Taurus. Otherwise, we can be tossed about in what feels like a storm.

In the space in-between worlds, in the space in-between ourselves and our fellow sentient beings, in the space in-between breaths and moments, the highest truth of love, in all of its resplendent power and light, waits for our embrace.

A few questions to ponder in the space in-between…under the light of the moon, perhaps.

  • Are we nurturing beauty and love? Are we open to receiving the same?
  • Are we letting go of what is out of alignment with our sense of peace?
  • Does what we’re attracting and/or creating sustain our inner sense of well-being?
  • Does what we’re drawing to us create a better, expansive tomorrow?
  • How can we experience more heart and less doubt? More hope and less despair?

Here’s to aligning with the flow of love and power in unique ways that bring all of us abundant peace, beauty, joy, and light ~

Blessings, always ~

Planting what you love ~ Blessings from the New Moon – and Uranus – in Taurus

Greetings from the place where earth meets sky ~

At 5:48 am MDT, on May 15th, the New Moon at 24 degrees Taurus trines Mars and Pluto in Capricorn and opposes Jupiter Rx in Scorpio. New moons bless us with divine openings to plant seeds and ideas, and to make plans. This one invites us to do so by working with
the energies of love (Taurus) and power (Scorpio) – in a way where compassion and unconditional love guide the process so that those involved and the collective are empowered, and higher wisdom prevails.

Uranus, the planet of sudden change, shifts into Venus-ruled Taurus and conjuncts Mercury. Together, they square Mars in Capricorn, and call us to pay attention to how we communicate our needs – especially when it comes to the urge to bring conclusion to something that we want to resolve – including the ages-old, ego-driven impulse to be right.

Coming out of fiery Mars-ruled Aries, Uranus’s sphere of influence shifts from our self-identity and self-expression to our value systems – to what we find worthwhile enough to possess – and, ultimately, whether or not we feel valued, appreciated, and loved. If there are areas where our return on our investment of energy falls short of what we truly want, we can look to Uranus to inspire change…ready or not!

Uranus’s energy is said to be beyond our control, and efforts to halt its impact can be futile at best and disastrous at worst. Fortunately, our ability to respond to changes that occur in our lives and our world, however they occur, is always within our control.

Here’s to sowing seeds that will grow our hearts’ truest dreams ~ the ones that truly matter ~ and doing it with intentional grace.

New Moon Blessings,

Christina

Scorpio’s Powerful Moon ~

She’s waxing in the harmonious space of Libra now, on her way to Scorpio’s passionate fullness this weekend – Sunday, April 29th, @6:58 pm MDT.

When she’s full, she’ll join Jupiter in Scorpio’s realm, where alchemy is second nature and braving the snaking path of transformation is as essential as breathing.

Pluto, the ruler of Scorpio, remains close to Mars in Capricorn. Although this Full Moon doesn’t come into aspect to that potentially volatile pairing, any building or lingering tension from our need to resolve things our way is softened by two lunar arrangements.

One of these lunar gifts is the sextile to Saturn in Capricorn, where we can harness attitudes of cooperation as we continue to create healthy boundaries and shape lives that work – not only for ourselves, but for others, as well.

Another blessing of this Scorpion Full Moon is her trine to Neptune in Pisces. If we need access to a powerful current of release and happiness, this is it. Neptune’s energy dissolves and melts what is difficult, rigid, and isolating into the pool of grace, bliss, and connection.

We only need to let go.

Surrendering into this current of power and love allows us to touch the center point between Scorpio and Taurus: that timeless, potent place of infinite beauty.

This Full Moon’s magic will find me winding my way through ancient groves of Aspen trees deep in the Rocky Mountains. Their essence of easing fears of the unknown will fill my body, mind, soul, and spirit, and their willingness to bend with each breeze will remind me that I, too, can soften and trust this moment, and the next…and so on.

Sending abundant Full Moon Blessings of love and power to all…

Sacred Waters of Scorpio’s New Moon ~

New Moons are a time to plant intentions, wishes, hopes, and seeds.

The New Moon in Scorpio today finds me wrapping my prayers
in the darkness of the Earth, not for my personal healing,

but for the healing of our collective Family of All Relations.

                           prayers

Scorpio energy has a flowing, pulsating intensity about it ~ an innate desire and potency to create life by fusing the polar opposite energies of male and female. Its core energy signature is POWER. Opposite Scorpio in the zodiac, Taurus holds the stable, grounding energy of Mother Earth, that nurtures, nourishes, and feeds us. Its core energy signature is LOVE.

During these divisive and polarized times, as we are transmuting the vast distortion of control and power on our planet, my prayers on this New Moon are planted deep in the truth of our potential to merge and embody Power and Love ~ with a deep commitment and knowing that both energies shall be fused until a new way of living emerges. In that new expression of being, our Collective Heart pulsates with the Power of Love, and Blessings flow to all beings ~

“Yes, We May!” ~ 2015 ~

awakening softly Remember the childhood game “Mother May I?” Contemplating our relationship with Mother Earth and each other as the Sun radiates in Taurus’s earthy, Venus-ruled realm of Love makes me wish we would consult Her in that simple way before we take all of our steps, whatever their nature: baby, half, full, giant, slow, fast, jumping, skipping, spinning, running, scissoring, cart-wheeling, forward, backward, sideways…

What would Mother Earth’s “Yes, you May!” look like if our steps were grounded in love and service to Her and the lives of all of her inhabitants, including ourselves and each other? What if we considered the effects of our choices before we made them, the weight or lightness of our thoughts before we spoke them, and moved in harmony with the heartbeat we share with Mother Earth and all relations?

If the patterns in the sky offer any hints, it might look like a way out of old patterns that pit opposites against each other by finding a solution in the middle, where both sides are seen as part of the same whole. It might look like merging Love and Power, the energies of Taurus/Venus and Scorpio/Pluto, respectively. In the middle, instead of denying one and/or wielding the other, out of fear of rejection or feeling left out or less than, we have the potential to realize and manifest the Power of Love. Here, loving our power allows us to know, embody, and become the absolute, omniscient essence of the power of love.

Highlights of May’s cosmic patterns include much encouragement for this shift in consciousness.

The Full Moon in Scorpio on May 3rd at 9:42 MDT, brings the Scorpio/Taurus opposition mentioned above to the table. Whether we see things as a confrontation or a conversation, a battle or an embrace, is up to us. We could get distracted by the T-square to Jupiter in Leo which wants to expand our creative self-expression…
…or, perhaps we may bring that energy into the dance and see how our illumination helps others shine even brighter. Perhaps we may let Jupiter’s light shine on our shadow places where power is played out in ways that weaken our collective. Perhaps we may gather enough of the Love that encircles and infuses our world to courageously transform and transcend old, habitual, conditioned responses that limit our highest expressions.

The messenger planet, Mercury, moves into Gemini, the sign it loves and rules just before May 1st, encouraging us to ask the questions and collect the data that allow us to evolve. Its opposition to Saturn in Sagittarius invites us to stretch our understanding of spiritual limits, where we realize that we are spiritual beings having human experiences. Their opposition forms another T-square – this one to Neptune in Pisces. We could trip over old tendencies to escape via addictions and repetitive habits that inhibit our expansion and feed a ‘victim/martyr’ mentality or ‘us vs. them’ mindset…
…or, perhaps we may use Neptune’s gifts of sensitivity, forgiveness, unity, and mastery to trust our process of spiritual growth and expand our reach into realms beyond our current beliefs. Perhaps we may employ intuition and faith to help us reframe our questions and redefine our limits.

Perhaps, when Venus moves into Cancer on May 7th, we may feel secure in our expressions and experiences of love, power, and unity. Then, perhaps, when Mars moves into Gemini on May 11th, we may name and claim the information needed to create the relationships we desire.

Perhaps, when the New Moon hugs the Sun in Taurus on May 17th, at 10:13 pm MDT, we may plant new seeds and dreams: ones filled with integrity and values worthy of our best selves – our most-loved, expansive, spiritual selves.

Perhaps, when Mercury turns retrograde in Gemini on the 18th and remains so through June 11th, we may pause with it instead of resisting or blaming it (or others) for what we perceive to be delays or obstacles. Perhaps we may redefine how we see, create, and receive support, and trust the guidance that shows up, however it shows up.

Perhaps, as the Sun shifts from earthy Taurus into airy, thoughtful Gemini on May 21st, we may ask the best questions…and know unequivocally that the answers always follow, for they are held within each one.

May marks a month of fertility and festivals, where new life emerges from the depths of Mother Earth, and flora and fauna blossom in celebratory song.
Mother, may our choices and steps reflect your Love?
Yes, they may!

With infinite blessings from somewhere in the middle,
May we Unite in Peace,

Christina

April’s Opening to The Power of Love

True to the season of Spring and the Emergence of Life that it brings, April greets us with both dynamic and stabilizing forces that support grounding our spirit-inspired lives on the planet and using our life-forces to serve. Yes, Pluto and Uranus are still squared off and we’re gearing up for a powerful lunar eclipse in the cardinal signs of Aries and Libra in just 4 days! And yes, this period of time represents the culmination of what has been for many, a tumultuous journey, especially those with major planets or points in Aries, Libra, Cancer and Capricorn!

However, when I study the patterns on the first day of April, and see a kite emerge in the feminine arrangement of Earth and Water elements, I relax into a comforting embrace of reassurance and possibility. In astrological terms, the kite looks like this:  The Moon, Venus and Pluto form a Grand Earth Trine (in Virgo, Taurus and Capricorn respectively)The tip of the kite is formed by Chiron in Pisces that opposes the Moon and forms sextile aspects to both Venus and Pluto. Earth trines have to do with how energy and form interact, and the addition of the kite serves to activate their connection.

In simple earth terms, we are encouraged to let intuition, faith and forgiveness link power and love in ways that allow us to channel the available energy into service, for ourselves and others. And that’s just from the kite! Add to that the Fire trines from the Sun in Aries to both Saturn in Sagittarius and Jupiter in Leo and we have the masculine spark of energy to fuel our actions.

It all comes down, of course, to choice, especially with a Moon in Virgo. The question, “Who and/or what do we serve?” is asked by this Moon. When free from burdensome guilt and duty, life is handled with poise, grace, and ease, so liberating ourselves from confining judgments is pivotal to access the transforming power of these aspects. Chiron offers infinite liberating energy via intuitive hits, visions, dreams, gut feelings, and guidance. It is known as the wise healer who facilitates our leap from our personal world to an elevated expansive Cosmic one.

Perhaps the simple joy of flying a kite is in order on this April Fool’s Day! Whatever your choices and experiences, as always, may you know life as blessed and be in the powerful state of Gratitude ~ and Love.

…And as the Lunar Eclipse of April 4th approaches, highlighting the arena of ‘self’ and ‘other’, I am deeply grateful for this quote, that I was blessed to hear just the other day, by one of my favorite teachers:
