Greetings from the Garden,
The Half Moon in Leo is suspended in the sky of time as a soft wind stirs the reflections of grasses and trees in the pond at my feet. Streams bubble with delight and a reclaimed tree split in half lengthwise supports me as I notice and absorb these gifts of Sacred Earth. At my back, a Pinon Pine’s aroma calls me to attention; on a peach tree to my right, clusters of banana-shaped leaves, a mix of burnt umber and crimson, tremble ever so slightly.
November arrives…and invites us into the wisdom of transition.
This is the time of Scorpio. Her regenerative power is palpable here, where she beckons the garden dwellers deeper into Mother Earth’s womb. Trusting her mysterious depths where transformation occurs, they surrender completely to the rhythm of life.
How perfect then, this union of Mars and Venus today, November 2nd, where the sacred balance of action and reception takes place and wholeness emerges. With this cosmic couple in Virgo along with Jupiter, what we desire, reach for, and embrace is amplified.
Virgo: where perfection comes from practice; where service rises from choice;
where we shine Spirit’s magnificence on Earth ~ manifesting our Divinity with our
humble expressions of Humanity.
Jupiter in Virgo blesses our potential to heal even more in the coming days, as it opposes Chiron in Pisces on November 3rd. Chiron has been called the ‘wounded healer’- if we shift that to ‘wise healer’ it opens a world of possibilities and restores faith, which Pisces has in abundance. Intuition is amplified now ~ whispers are louder ~ gut feelings stronger ~ the quieter we get, the more answers we are given. This is the power of Jupiter and Chiron when we come to the center of their opposition and honor both energies.
November 11th brings a New Moon in Scorpio and asks us what we can drop into the depths of the Earth. What can we surrender to the mystery? What needs to be released so that we can be transformed, reborn?
On the 18th, Neptune, the planet of Unity and Oneness, goes direct in Pisces. Thinning veils surround us now, offering access to deeper knowing, the power of forgiveness, and a growing awareness of the common threads we share in the tapestry we are co-creating.
Scorpio gives way to Sagittarius on November 22nd as the Sun illuminates truth and wisdom. Jupiter rules Sagittarius and offers expansion. As our willingness to see beyond our current view stretches, so does our reach.
November’s Full Moon in Gemini graces the day before Thanksgiving, when many of us in America gather in gratitude with those we love and celebrate our blessings, Wednesday, the 25th, at 3:44 pm MDT. Light-hearted and quick-witted, this Moon’s light stimulates conversation, open-mindedness and joy!
In honor of Her arrival, I offer heartfelt gratitude to all of the signs of the zodiac, the planets that rule them, and the unique ways that they show up at the table, through us. After all, we are blessed with each and every one of them, to some degree! 😉

In the garden on this perfect Autumn November day, I’m seated on a bench with a plaque that reads, Every day is a gift. There is something magical about having leaves of gold and crimson drop upon and around you. Their crunch under tiny sneakers running in the courtyard. Halves of flowers hanging, waiting, on their stems. A Black-eyed Susan with just one bright yellow petal radiating from its center. Couples, young and old, holding hands, simply smiling at the day. Mothers and their adult daughters, fathers and their adult sons. A four-year old girl toting 3 toddlers in a large plastic wagon, happily asking, “Which way?”
One of the toddler’s gaze locking with mine as he takes it all in: the leaves drifting, fluttering to the ground, gathering, and starting a new conversation; my pen on the page as the wind stirs and turns it. Gardens. Holy Places. Sacred Earth. Every day is a gift. Yes. And a prayer.
November ~ a month of renewal, where gratitude transforms us, and wisdom emerges ~
